Sunday watch rant

hello cruncher, happy sunday to you all. im super upset today and i guess this is a proper place to do the rant, not about the watch but the story behind it. so here it is, about a month ago my mother with her sister go for a trip to visit my cousin in chicago usa. and she said to me do you want something there? at that point i say no, just be careful and have fun there mom.

meanwhile back in indonesia im so stress with my marriage preparation (to be exact budget, document, etc) and exhausting job. at some point while i scroll down many post at wc i came up with some thread about reverso alternative which is definitely my grail watch but it doesnt made sense to buy it at this time. to be exact the watch is the rotary cambridge (complete with amazon link) for 175$. and i swear suddenly my brain came up with a perfect plan

1. buy the watch to made me happy and reduce the stress without breaking the bank
2. ask for help to my cousin to shipped it to his dorm, and gave it to my mother so when she came back she can bring the watch for me
3. buy one more watch (which is brew retrograph technicolour) which isnt avaible in my country and sell it for a bit of profit

4. sell my other dresswatch which is my orient bambino (i swear i love that watch, didnt have any complain, but i like square dress watch more) as i dont want to have big collection, one watch per genre

5. order brown leather fagliano style strap for my new rotary cambridge

f yeah, problem solved. i got a free watch (from selling my old watch and the profit from selling the brew retrograph) and definitely made me happy so i pull the trigger and tell my cousin.

so this sunday i supposed to pick my mother and my new watch from the airport, i drove with big smile on my face, but guess what? my mother came safely (thx God) but the watch isnt. i mean wtf, so i message my cousin to ask wth happened. and he said oh man im so sorry i gave the wrong address which is my old dorm. im still working with this problem, amazon is agree to ship it to the right addres, but apparently he still asking the brew watch to adress this problem. it will come but i dont know when does he plan to go back to indonesia. and this is the tragic story of my brew and rotary, im sorry you guys have to read this rant. so moral of the story sometimes life isnt always go according to plan and we gotta be patient about it. cheers🍻
