hi fellow crunchers how is it going? i hope you're all doing well. let me share my experience about my recent trip with you guys.
its july 2023 and i need to go on my honeymoon with my wife. we decided to go for 10 days trip to europe. well there are many rumours about pickpocket in europe so i decided to bring just one watch and i think gmt is a logical and practical choice for this (i need to monitor my original timezone fast because of the work related need). and i set time on my glycine airman just like this.
we choose to stay at airbnb for more "connected" to local experience. so here is a few highlight from my honeymoon trip.
paris
we stay at some old apartment building in wagram area. its a old but nice building, we travelled most of the time by bus and metro.
musee d'orsay
so for the first stop we go to the art museum orsay. there are many beautiful old painting and sculpture here and these are some of my favourite.
bassilica of sacre-coeur de montmartre
old church at the high point on paris, you can see beautiful paris from above. we also managed to pay one of the artist to do face sketch, moustache is a little too thick though 😂.
eiffel tower
it is not a paris trip if you dont take a pict here lol. we try several spot to take a pict, but by far my favourite place is near the seine river.
brussel
we spent most of the time strolling around the city (near grand palace which packed with many chocolate shops). brussel a quiet city btw.
we stay at cute apartment which called luxurious bel-etage for generosity near sablon area. it was a beautiful, unique, also clean apartment.
amsterdam
next day we travelled to amsterdam with one of the sncf train. by far this is my favourite city. there are a lot of language similarty between netherlands and indonesia, because indonesia used to be colonized by netherlands for about 350 years.
we stayed at the lower level of the house in vennepluimstraat. its a nice spacious unit which got an access to the canal behind the house.
i also find many friendly cute cats near this neighborhood like this one.
9 street
we spent most of our time strolling this 9 street area, which filled with endless tiny shops and canals. you can visit anne frank house, van gough museum near this area too.
can't miss this one can't we? lol
i also find micro car are very popular in amsterdam (canta, biro). i mean look at this size.
ndsm wharf
probably one of my favourite destination so far. there are 2 building in this area, one is converted into modern street art museum and the other is converted into the rental office, cafe, and shop.
weesp
our last destination city is weesp, its a small town near amsterdam and we stay at the boathouse. not much to see here because the attraction is the houseboat and the river itself.
thats all for my honeymoon trip. im really enjoying wearing my glycine so much, its really handy watch. thx for reading, anyway whats your watch choice if you go travelling? cheers🍻.
