Nomos, the next Rolex?

Ok, first off, this is the first time I’ve switched out the oyster-style bracelet this Club 42 came with for a matte black alligator-ish band. It really is incredible what a difference it makes. I’m loving this look. Second, is it just me or is Nomos the new (up and coming) Rolex? Sounds silly on the face of it I know, but the original styling, beautiful/robust in house movements, rich dials, thin cases, slick date implementation, excellent lume, insane water resistance for a such thin cases (this is 300m, 100 or normal club campus) and total strap monsters, all at a third to half the price. I dunno, call me crazy, but I can’t help think that the Nomos line, as it expands, will become a highly desirable in years to come. Lastly, I was looking over some Rolex vids, Datejust 41 (ref 126334) to be exact, on a leather strap. That’s what inspired me to make the strap swap on my Club 42 and….well……new watch desires have been satiated……for now. 😂

I don't think so. Completely different in so many ways. Not sure they are aiming for it either. Rolex not really known for beautiful movements or date implementation... Nice Club!

Yeah, fair point. I didn’t mean to imply that it’s their intention to chase or be like Rolex. Only that the value for money and unique style is hard to ignore. Anyway, who knows. Time will tell. - Thanks! Yeah I love this thing and (obviously) a huge Nomos fan. 🙂

If I had more wrist availability I'd for sure get a Nomos. I've been interested in the Orion for a while and more recently the Club Campus.

I agree with your sentiment of the value proposition that these watches offer. I would certainly buy a new Nomos over a Rolex.

I think a stronger argument would be to include old rolex prices. Even adjusted for inflation, Rolex was expensive, but not unobtainable and extremely reliable option. A position that Tudor and Nomos now sit in.

Not in a million years.

Good watches tho. I would buy one if they reduced the lug to lug

Agree 💯 with this - I have a 36mm Nomos Club and it works on my 6.25in wrist, a 37/38 might work, but above that the lug to lug would over power my wrist.

Yes the lug size is definitely consideration but availability more in terms of too many watches for me 😂
