So I was looking through another watch group (on Facebook) and there was a picture of a dial that some dude had 3D printed. It had raised indices, and a textured face.
Then, inspiration struck! Some of those franken-watches that you see on EBay, with the cruddy, flat, poorly-painted dials, could be "refurbished" by simply 3D printing a better dial! Most of those franken-watches have a decent movement in them, I mostly hear people complaining about the dial quality. There would be no need to paint the dial, if you use different-colored filament for each layer. It would take someone with CAD drafting experience, to design it, but I think seeing a 3D printed dial would be amazing.
....Thoughts?

I am not sure. I have never looked at a MoonSwatch. Can you elaborate?

I'm joking cause the MoonSwatch feels like a toy and there were reports of the color bleeding onto people's wrists.

Ah, I see. Now that I have the context, that was pretty funny! 🤣
But nevertheless, my thought was, most of the EBay franken-watches cost about $30, but have cruddy dials. So my thought was, maybe a dial upgrade would make buying one worth the effort. The rest of the case would still be stainless steel, and I don't think filaments bleed color like that. But I could be wrong.
Ah yes, reading an article about it (The Omega Moonswatch) on Chrono24 right now. I see. Wow, it says:
Well, speaking only for myself, I'd rather pay $30 for an EBay franken-watch, and spend a few more dollars upgrading it, than I would paying $260 for something that is of the equivalent quality level of a franken-watch, with a fancy logo stamped on it. 😎🤣 LOL 🤣
you were cheating on WatchCrunch and perusing some other sleazy watch group?? wow. just…wow.
