Cork-yay or nay?

After ranting a bit about wooden watches on Thursday, I bought one.

Well… sort of.

I bought a new strap made out of Cork specifically for this watch. It is a lovely piece, but I couldn’t find anything but black leather that I’d like one it.

Until I discovered these cork straps…

I don’t know how it will age but I guess time will tell.

Have you any experiences with cork or any ambitions to try it out?

Cork and cactus leather are on my to-try list.

I think it will age like a fly...but the look is very unique👍

Definitely yay

Please do a follow-up review maybe 3 months from now with daily wear. Looks awesome but I'm concerned about the durability of the material. Doesn't it crack and dry up? I'm thinking of wine cork and those things flake and fall apart.

All I can say is...

It's time someone gave a plug for cork! 🙄

I'll show myself out.

Shure. We’ll find out. But since it is basically fabric laminated in thin layers of cork I am not to worried about it falling apart but rather discolouring or the surface opening up.

Had mine custom made from Portugal where cork is grown.
