NWA #5: The anti smart watch
Apple watch homage? More like a protest 😂
This seemed like a really fun piece to have in the collection and I got a really good deal on this in the end of year sale and couldn't resist.
It arrived within a few days straight from the factory and I wasn't expecting that at all.
First Impression were very good and the presentation box it comes in is fantastic!
It come with a leather and a mesh strap. The mesh is superb, far better than I was expecting. The leather is about average but with a very nice buckle.
Both are more than usable and even though the mesh is nicer quality I'm wearing it on the leather for now to see if it's nicer after some break in:
It houses a Sea-gull ST1646k skeletonised automatic movement which looks nice.
It isn't highly decorated but I think it goes well with the overall design of the watch.
The quality of the polished stainless steel case is fantastic and I have been inspecting it very closely for imperfections and I can't find any... The hands, while basic, are very clean and also without a problem I can see with my macro lens.
Legibility is awful 😂 but that's not really the point of this watch. It's a tongue in cheek piece of art for your wrist and it does that perfectly.
I bought this because it was funny and cheap and was ready to have a nice joke watch to wear but this watch is no joke. It is far nicer than it should be for the price paid and I have no idea how they make any money from this watch!
It cost me £80 delivered directly for the Ciga design website.
I think the provided straps are worth £20 each all day long, the box isn't a generic plastic/cardboard box and has some real thought and design around it and the watch head is immaculate.
Overall, this is a really well made watch in a perfectly cohesive package with 2 great straps included for an unbelievable price... No I'm not being paid to say any of this 😂

The diameter is quite large for a square watch but it has very short lug to lug so it weara very well, doesn't feel large by any means!
