Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

My dad has always been into watches and I never understood them, until I grew up and developed a love of all things mechanical (again inherited from him) and suddenly watches were all I wanted

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

Timex Expedition, I was about 12, fantastic first watch

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

My Seiko RAF Chronograph is 30 years old and was originally military issued in 1993 to a jet/helicopter pilot, who knows where in the world it's been!

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Enjoy and appreciate what you have, I'd rather have ten fun watches that are unique in their own way with their own designs that make me smile than having one Rolex that I don't even wear because I want to hold onto its resale value

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

I was an early adopter of Christopher Ward in the 'Big C' logo days and I have a Trident 65, pleased to see them go from strength to strength

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

There's so many and they all change regularly, ones that stay constant are the Omega Seamaster NTTD or 'No Time to Die' Bond watch or a Rolex GMT Master II 'Rootbeer' I've never tried either one on simply in case I don't like them or that because if I did, I wouldn't be able to walk away from them!
