Underrated and probably unappreciated Rolex….. and I like it! Miss me with the hype.
2 years ago AD called me 1 month before my birthday. She said “I have the piece on your wishlist” you could just imagine the feeling I had on my way to pick this up.
This piece holds significant value to me as a commemoration of my 40th birthday.
It doesn’t have the hype like the sub and the gmt, and I’m perfectly fine with that.

The Rhodium dial is one of those that will never look great in most pictures, but in person it’s s stunning, especially with the blue seconds hand.
Indeed the rhodium dial 40mm YM with that pop of light-blue is one of the better-looking Rolex out there. Certainly underappreciated.
The Yacht Master is in my view the successor to the Turn O Graph. That's a watch that despite it's awesomeness never caught on. The same seems to be true for the Yacht Master, especially in steel and two tone.
