Just a heads up looking for a different diver than most , at the moment on their website they are still offering a 10% Black Friday discount!

Their newly released chronograph is my next purchase, especially if I can manage to snare a salmon dial. Considering that it sold out in minutes, I'm doubtful. Luckily, the heritage black (the only standard production model) is also very good.

Still, I wish I underatood the logic of making 2 out of the three models extremely limited runs 😕

Artificial scarcity.

Artificial scarcity.

Sure, but artificial scarcity is also a built-in inefficiency in profitability. I get that smaller companies don't have the ability to overproduce, but 50 units is so vastly underestimating market demand that it's also costly. The salmon dial sold out in minutes yet the silver and black is still available. They probably could have sold multiples of the salmon for significant profitability, instead they both underestimated and apparently overestimated demand, both at the same time. That's not good market research

Like that watch... On the subject of scarcity: I got in on that Marinor watch on Kickstarter, and it turns out that what I selected was only ordered by four people..so there are just four. It's a different calculus than a mass-produced. I have no illusions, as this is ordered/assembled. But it feels a lot different than ordering my green-dial 40mm PRX (one of a bazillion?). The customer experience is such a weird lens.
