GO Seaq - the one for me

My diver journey started with the incredible Sinn U50.  I love this watch for its distinct design language, unapologetic tool personality and some impressive specs. This is my go to piece if I am near the ocean or a swimming pool.

To complement the Sinn I wanted to add a desk diver / blue tool watch that I could wear to the office with jeans and a shirt.  I wanted something different and not the usual suspects (my therapist is helping me unpack that).  My solution to that search was two watches (naturally) that are great watches.

  1.  Ming 18.01 - a beautiful watch with that unique Ming design languages.  The specs are crazy - grade 5 titanium, 1km depth resistance and crazy lume.
  2. Sinn 104 at blue limited edition - another Sinn classic.  Countdown timer, 200m water resistance and that beautiful blue sunburst dial.

Now comes the past I don't understand - why was I not happy with this awesome pair of watches?  So much for my therapist to deal with.

After a rather protracted search I found the Seaq in blue.  The deep blue with dazzling sunburst shines like a supernova.  The bezel is crisp and the 120 clicks rotation sounds like a snare drum.  The applied indices float on that ocean of blue.  I got the watch on the very nice GO bracelet but I am not a bracelet guy so swapped it for a colareb strap.   WOW!!

I now have a Ming and Sinn that will be leaving the collection.  It is a heavy price to pay for the Seaq but it feels right.

Thanks.  Agree with you about the numbers.   I like that someone half my age can see the time from across the room while someone of my age can just make out the time at arm's length.

That one is killer blue dial diver! I'm a fan of the classic omega smp 300M for the GADA blue diver. Mazel tov on the new watch and use it in good health!

The sunburst on the SMP looks awesome 😍.

I am looking forward to summer days when the blue on the seaq can really shine.

Merry Xmas!!

Thanks. The seaq is exactly what I was looking for and really glad I went ahead with it.  It took me a while before I pulled the trigger on the seaq.  Mainly i was waiting for the right price.  The price drop in the secondary on the seaq is pretty steep.  I got this one on a 35% discount to headline retail from a private seller.

Wow! That actually makes this watch a frontrunner in my book. I've always looked at the retail price and wondered if it's worth spending the money . The watch is gorgeous

The GO, a brilliant watch.   I purchased the blue dial Panorama date back in 2021 Fabulous watch. Problem is, my wife thinks it is too and I have never got to wear it for the last six months   😀

I completely understand!  My watch was for my 60th from her so I was scuppered from the start.

Congrats! Love Glasutte SeaQ 👏🏾

I've been wearing the watch for a few days now.   Works great as a dressy desk diver.  Very happy with this choice.

Generally like the watch -- except for the broad arrowhead on the minute hand.  It just destroys it for me.

Beautiful watch! I have the exact same one. I've owned it for almost 3 years now. Love it and it will never leave my collection.

Let me know if you are interested in selling your bracelet, I bought mine on the rubber tropic strap.

Congrats again!

Nice to meet a fellow traveler.  I am looking forward to my 3 year anniversary with the seaq 🙂.   How's yours looking after  3 years?

(Unfortunately, I won't be selling the bracelet)

Here is a wrist shot. I have worn this SeaQ a lot over the past three years and it hardly shows any signs of wear. I have it on an artem sailcloth. Great watch and I hope yours brings you as much joy as mine has me.
