This was me for 2 hours for the tiniest contact spring for a digital watch alarm. I never found it and had to make one from a spring bar lol

There needs to be some way to essentially work inside a ziploc bag, with lighting and ventilation.ย

Or perhaps have a floor with a substantial slope to a central collection point.

I had the same problem, except it was a spring bar that I lost on my creme colored carpet. Still couldn't find it so I had to buy another one. ๐Ÿ™„

Been there - had the click spring from a Seiko 66 take off. ย I spent a long time looking for it with a magnet, and ended up making a new one. ย Only to find it the next day, down the heat vent (which I went down looking for a screw for the same movement ๐Ÿ™„).

And don't ask me about cap jewels and their springs. ย I still don't know where it went.

Found the seconds hand I was looking for this morning with a fridge magnet only to lose a rachet screw 10 mins later ๐Ÿ˜‘ ย still haven't found it even with the magnet

the watchmakers kiss : when a spring pings away, hitting you in the face before disappearing forever. ย

I'll remember that one "watchmakers kiss".
