First Zenith!

What’s up gang! Picked up this little beauty the other day from my my man Art at CD Peacock in Oakbrook IL. Art has probably sold me 20 watches over the years from Tag, to Omega, to Rolex. They just picked up the Zenith brand recently. They’ve got a pretty decent selection of models, although it seems they sold out of the new Pilot line.

Truth be told I wasn’t expecting to like this watch as much as I do. The pics are all on this super comfortable, for me, rubber bracelet. The steel bracelet is great as well, and despite the lack of micro adjust, I’ve gotten a good fit in it. The quick change system is really really good.

My problem with the regular Defy Skyline was the odd, to me, placement of the running tenths of a second sundial at 9 o’clock. With a 3 o’clock date it just looked off to my eyes. While I typically find skeletons, I have a UN Blast, difficult to resolve the time, this thing is perfectly legible. The foundryant at 6 and no date is super balanced here. It’s a little thicker than I’d like for an integrated bracelet but so far I’ve had no issues. The comfort of this thing is as good as any Rolex.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend you take the time to check these out!

Cheers!

Just watched a YT review of this by YoureTerrific. Honestly never considered the Skyline as I wasn’t fond of the recent design, as you pointed out. But the legibility on this is really bar none and I actually might consider one myself. The additional strap options for these are intriguing as well.

Any new thoughts of feelings on this after a month OTW?

Love it. I’m one of the commenters on the video. Great everyday piece.
