Omega Speedmaster Moonshine

Over the course of time during a products lifecycle many firms will issue new variants to keep items fresh.

Omega is not immune to this, nor should they be. The Omega Speedmaster is definitely a “hall of fame” watch. We all know the history of the watch and what not. Over time they changed the technology in the watch as well as issuing special editions such as the “Snoopy”, the 50th anniversary, etc.

One such model that I was recently introduced to is the Omega Speedmaster Professional Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 42MM “Moonshine Gold” (ref number 310.62.42.50.99.001). The movement is the Calibre 3861 with an 18k gold finish case. On my seven inch wrist it fits nicely (note: I do not own one). Link below for further details.

I have several Speedmasters, including the 3861 sapphire sandwich, and I'd have to say that this one beats them all in terms of aesthetic appeal. I'd love to be able to have one in my collection, but alas the price prevents that from happening.

They’re beautiful watches regardless which models they are, but this one in particular is visually stunning. And yes, just shy of $30K is tough.

It really is next level evolutionary phase of tier watches.
