I never wear a watch to the gym. Its just too easy to get it damaged.

Casio Duro
I run and workout with my Casio Master of G Gravitymaster... Super tough, ultra light carbon fiber case and strap... It's perfect for exercise
After getting into Master of G, I can't even look at my cheesy little G shocks, they are so low quality in comparison to the Master of G watches
I just stick to my weekday beater Casio. It's solid enough that it shouldn't pick up too many scuffs or damage will pumping iron.
