Not quite sure. Fell for a Timex Huckberry collab. Went looking for reviews of it. Found some of the YouTube watch-related content, and slowly started viewing. It happened from there.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Can’t say. Got a Casio Calculator watch at age 13. In early twenties had a beautiful dark gray Citizen that fell off. Then in mid-twenties was given a Movado Museum Watch. Then for thirtieth birthday was given a Tag, and that was all for about 22 years.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Dad gave me the engraved Longines that Grandma gave Grandpa for their 25th anniversary in 1960.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time. Know why you’re collecting.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, Grand Seiko, Longines.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Grand Seiko White Birch. Have never even seen one in person, so it may rise or fall once I lay eyes and wrist on it. For now, I love the whole idea of a Spring Drive, I love the sweep of the second hand, I love the way the whole watch is fabricated, and I love the delicate and intricate simplicity of the dial.
