Well, I finally got a response from Rado and I’m baffled and confused. Here’s my original post.

Everything I could find anywhere was placing it in the late 70s. Most likely a redial.
They say it’s a 1959. Which I can’t process or find anything remotely similar.
What’s your thoughts?
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.
Send it in for authentication and find out. I’m sure they’re guessing at this point too. Perhaps more educated guess as they work for the brand but still.
May have to submit the Watch to get down to the bottom of it. My guess is that would be the best way for them to inspect it entirely and I would also ask how much for a service
I’d be wary as there are misspelling and grammatical errors in the email.

That’s where they want it sent
Has anyone ever sent a vintage watch in for authentication?
I’m thinking the year given was also a typo. There’s nothing remotely similar from 1959, but there’s a boat load of similar designs from 1979.

I wouldn’t spend the money unless it’s a special watch with sentimental value that warrants you finding out the history of the watch.
