For me, I prefer to have the 'higher end' watches serviced at the brand. In my collection that's my Breitling, Omega, GO. For my Ball watches I have a local shop. I like the idea of having service records for my more expensive watches from the brands to show provenance in case I decided to move on from the watch. For the Ball watches, as I understand it, they farm out factory service in the US anyway so I don't see the point. Plus Ball, is not a brand that holds value as much as it should because it is so much available on the grey market.

My vintage stuff I don’t mind taking to my local guy that I trust. But my Rolex and Tudor will always go back to the RSC.
