Say what you will about homages, I’m freaking loving this watch.
I remember back in 2019/2020 it seemed like the integrated sports watch was all everyone seemed to talk about. Some cost hundreds of dollars others in the thousands of dollars and few others in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. And of course homage brands had to get in on the action. The funny thing is the Integrated sports watch has been around since 1972 with the introduction of the AP Royal oak 5402ST then followed by the Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700/1A. Soon after IWC, Girard Perregaux and many others wanted to get on the integrated sports watch craze. So it’s no surprise many these Asian brands we see on Aliexpress, DHGate etc are now selling them. Speaking of the Patek Philippe Nautilus especially the 5711 it originally came out in 2006, but only a few years ago started taking off with collectors. It got so popular that the company couldn’t keep up with demand for a watch that sold for MSRP $60k being sold on the secondary market for 100+x the original price. Even the President of PP had to stop production because he was afraid the company was only gonna be known as the Nautilus brand (Similar to Audermars Piguet with the Royal Oak). Of course one year after discontinuing the 5711 the 5811/1G-001 is born but in White gold not steel. There’s probably a SS model in the works down the road. Ok so this brings me to my watch the Cadisen C-8222G 5711 Homage I got it two weeks ago on Aliexpress on sale and because this is Aliexpress there’s always sales lol. I wasn’t really expecting much for a watch costing less than $70USD but to my surprise it was much more than I anticipated. It hasn’t left my wrist in all these two weeks something very rare for me to do. Now I’m I, turning into a one watch wearer? Maybe/Maybe not? This PP 5711 homage is becoming my favorite GADA watch it’s versatile, looks great, has that integrated bracelet look I love, is 100m, has a automatic Seiko NH35 and has C3 super Luminova. Unless something else pulls me in? This isn’t leaving my wrist anytime soon.

Just like affordable watches. You start with 1, 2 and turns into a whole watch box. Personally I hate homage of the same boring watch. I do have to give props to brands like San Martin they have come out with some HEAT with their GMTs. Merkur with their Type XXs etc. Pagani I hate they can't seem to stop stealing marketing material from the actual brand. Then again who can compete at under 100 bucks. Enjoy in good your watch!

I did not realize that they were so popular. Here is my build from about 8 month ago. Wore it almost whole day yesterday. It used to have a Seiko logo on it, but is fell off in transit. I like it better without a logo.

That's a nice looking watch! Cadisen make excellent watches for the price. I didn't like that they changed their Cadisen font - Pix below. I wanted to really like the Nautilus design but that integrated bracelet that doesn't lay flat and the butterfly clasp had me at a dead no. Beauty is in the eye and heart of the beholder. Love homage watches 👊🏽
From the quality price point of view these type of watches are probably the best you can get. And than there are hundreds of those brands that produce the same watch. Yesterday it was Parnis and Corgeut today it is San Martin, Cadisen or Pagani. It s like branded not branded who cares. Big Pilots, Marina Militares, Portugieser, Submariners, Nautilus. They have whatever you need. I had many of those hommages from all type of brands, almost 10-12 years ago. I liked them, learned a lot from them and moved on to the next episode, actually to brands with heritage, tradition and a little bit of soul.

I wasn't even aware they changed the font lol. I can't stand hollow end-links especially if you’re planning on changing it out on a different strap because sometimes you get that jangling sound after reinstalling the bracelet. At least with the integrated bracelet I don't have to worry about it. Of course I would need to get, costumed made straps.
