I couldn’t resist putting on my Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer today. I promised myself that I would only wear precious metal watches this weekend in #celebration of achieving my Wristy 365 Badge. Although the BB58 925 technically fits that description perfectly, I really wanted to enjoy my GO this afternoon while the sun was still out. It doesn’t have lume, so it’s best enjoyed during daylight hours. #celebrating

I couldn’t agree more!!! I’m normally not a guy for larger watches, but these Germans somehow know how to trick my brain into loving them all the same. I believe the trick is partially due to the short, downturned lugs.

Good call Paul. Gold = Precious Metals 😉 Love the thickness of the watch. The 3rd image shows the profie beautifully. Have a good evening Paul.

Just incredible. Every time you share this watch I drool over the pics. Happy Friday Paul!

Thanks, Danilo! This GO is quickly becoming one of my favorite watches to wear. Enjoy your Friday evening as well, my friend.

Hahaha, If I’m honest, I do the same!!! 🤤🤤Especially when I capture those blued hands in the sunlight. She’s absolutely gorgeous! Enjoy your weekend, Logan!

Such a handsome piece. What are you thoughts on the latest update to the Senator Chronometer?

They did a wonderful job making the watch appeal to a younger audience. GO thinned it out by over a millimeter (to 11.4mm) and redid the bezel with a subtle knurled texture that I really like. I also love the new silver dial with its dark blue printing and the applied white gold blued indices. And I adore the new Panoramadatum wheel in blue with white numerals as well. They even redid the movement finishing, so it looks totally different! I really want to see one in the metal later this year. Hopefully, my AD will get one in for me to look at. My only real issue is the price increase over the previous white gold and red gold models. Essentially, this new silver dial variant costs nearly five grand more than its white gold sibling and over six grand more than the red gold version. I’m not sure if I see enough of a change to warrant that price increase. If they had made further improvements to the caliber 58-08, like an extended power reserve for example, I might have thought differently.

Was that from Independence Day? Right when she’s about to get blown up on the top of that skyscraper in Los Angeles? 😅

I’m in complete agreement with you that GO does the Panoramadatum better than those guys at Lange. This watch is quickly becoming a favorite. 💎💎🤙👊
