I've been thinking it over what features my next watch should include.
1. I'm attracted to divers.
It must be a diver.
2. It has to have a sapphire bezel. that is lumed. Also a sapphire crystal.
3. The watch has to have an exhibition back, to keep me occupied.
4. The face has to have multiple colorways as I haven't made up my mind yet. The face will have to have "12,"9" &"3". If there's a date it will have to be at the 6 o'clock location.
5. The watch will be 42 and 43mm.
6. It will have a snazzy and easily adjustable stainless steel bracelet.
7. Miyota high beat movement.
8. $500 or less. And not a Chinese brand.
What's your spec for your next watch?

I've never looked at a watch as a series of specs and I don't think I could draft one. My next will be from my wishlist - but it's pretty damn varied!
I don't think this is the best approach to watch collecting. Specs are a consideration, but what is important is the design aesthetic, proportions & whether the watch has an X factor that makes you want to wear it long term. I own 10 dive watches, most of which I still wear, but none of them meet or exceed the specs you have listed. The last watch I bought for example is a Citizen Promaster Fugu. I bought it because I really like how it looks, however the only criteria on you list it meets is that it has a sapphire crystal.........
Never mind the other specs, can you find a model with a lumed sapphire bezel for under $500 not from China?
My specs are:
1) Do I like the dial
2) What function will it serve and do I have something comparable already
3) Budget
Under 36mm case diameter
No black dials, ever
That should exclude the 3-6-9 dials, but let's be explicit
Definitely no GMT nonsense
Boxed acrylic crystal
Wait, move this to the first spot: no exhibitionist glass-ass see-through case back BS. Solid metal por favor!
Central seconds unless the watch is of retirement age
The crown had better not be more than half the diameter in length
Salmon dial, rose gold, cockeyed dial, any goofy time display (ahem regulators) is a dealbreaker
Probably under $400 but I might be flexible if I'm nuts enough to buy another watch.
I think you meant ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal. Assuming that is correct, and that you didn’t forget a zero on the end of your price limit, then it’s limited to Seiko, Citizen, and maybe some Microbrands. Now, fully lumed bezel? Not sure
Now, my next watch will be a white or silver dial dress/sport luxury watch with some history.
