I have seen the argument that the purchase of fakes actually helps to drive up the demand for the genuine article. Perhaps there is something to that?

I personally do not believe there is any correlation. The people buying fakes are not cross shopping them against real watches. Worn and Wound had an interesting take last year.

That is entirely possible. I honestly have no clue as to why I could read it from the Netherlands, but you cannot from Sweden.
