Pre Orders from Micro Brands

I just placed an order with Heron Watches for their Marrionor Carribean Blue.

My Question: How has your experience been when you pre-order a watch from a micro brand, not necessarily limited to Heron?

So far I have always gotten the watch, now the amount of time it can take can drive you bonkers!

Mine have been good experiences so far *knock on wood*. I backed my Astrabyss and Humism through kickstarter and that went without a problem. (With excellent communication from both companies.) I'm also waiting on the Héron and have backed three others as well.

My advice with pre-orders and backing is to look at the brand and see what they've done before. If it's a new brand see how they communicate, what the reviews are and to go with your gut feeling. Besides that you just have to be okay with delaying instant gratification for a while. And be aware that delivery dates are indicative.

Been so many I can’t recall. Lorier, Direnzo, Nodus I think I’ve preordered like 6-8 from them and perhaps others.

Gotten each one, but the wait time has usually been somewhat long. Lol used to freak out a bit, now I just accept that it will come when it comes (obviously I track shipments).

My approach is just order it and forget it…at the price point of most micros it doesn’t make sense to get all wound up about it…

The wait is painful, but almost all have delivered. I opter for the Marinor Argus, BTW.
