Last time it was Hello Kitty, now another Shinkansen 🚅/bullet train crossover, crossover. Except this time it’s Evangelion!
I was a fan of the TV show until the creator obviously decided to take way too much LSD and the story took a sharp left into literal lunacy. Decades later, the revamped/rewritten movie series has rekindled my love for the franchise…but only enough to like this watch from afar!
PS. The movie series conclusion was far more satisfying for me!

I like the 4 new movies. It improves a lot from the original TV series and 2 movies.
Asuka in the new movies finally reach her full fighting potential. In the TV show and 2 movies she suffer from mental breakdowns. In the new movies no more breakdowns and became a killing machine like she supposed to be.
I wasn't sure about Mari Makinami Illustrious when she first appeared in the second movies. She became my most favorite character in the new version. She is a better mate for Shinji then Asuka.
Shinji is less whinny in the new movies. Made the new movies more enjoyable to watch.
Kaworu suicide in the new movies was amazing. Make his sacrifice more meaningful.
Komm Susser Todd from End of Evangelion is in my top 10 best anime song of all time.

I also really prefer the new movies! On top of all the script improvements, the artwork and visuals are absolutely stunning!✨
Tbh the weird shits that happened in the anime are what makes Evangelion a cult-classic
