Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I always had an eye on a nice watch, ever since I was a very young boy. My first big job promotion led to my watch, a Raymond Weil.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My wife and I decided to make my first significant watch purchase to celebrate 10 years of sobriety in 2019. A 44mm Omega Speedmaster, numbered edition, enamel dial. It will always be special to us.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Be patient. It will take time and some mistakes even to determine what you really like. I have moved on from a few of my earlier watches that just didn’t work for me over time. Mostly undetermined that size and wearability were the most important factors to me.
