It sure is. Some nice aged lume on the indices and matching patina on the hands. All original, seemingly unpolished case too with very light wear. Tight bracelet!
Tudor Black Bay 54. Punches well above its weight. And has a great pedigree too. Comfortable as hell and robust. I also work in restaurants and this guy disappears on my wrist when I’m working hard.
I think there’s something to be said for getting a vintage watch that has some significanc around its year. There’s tons of old watches out there, so might as well get one that has some connection to you. Good luck on your search!
Glad to hear I’m not the only one! This one did not come with box or papers. I would usually be a stickler for those, and the lack of them would be a deal breaker. In this case, I was more concerned with the condition of the watch and originality. I have a closet full of boxes. The price was great as well, and I am hoping to keep this in the collection indefinitely. Either way, should I choose to move it on at some point, I don’t see a loss happening. It all just seemed so right, and I am beyond pleased!
