Bell Diver 1 PVD Auto

I recent got certified to scuba dive and this has renewed my interest in dive watches. I kept coming back to Scurfa after listening to a Grey Nato podcast with the brand owner Paul Scurfield. He’s a commercial diver and watch enthusiast who started making no nonsense super tough dive watches for a reasonable price. His story intrigued me and after reading some reviews, I decided I wanted to get the Bell Diver 1 PVD auto. I liked the grey dial and the contrasting red seconds hand against the black PVD. I looked on the website, but the model was out of stock. I emailed Paul and, while he’s no longer selling this model, he graciously looked around and found 2 grey dials one black dial. That’s a perfect example of the benefits of microbrands. You can talk to real people and they often are enthusiasts like us. So I purchased it for about $375.  And wow this is a whole lot of watch for the money. It looks great. The bezel is amazing and the lume is strong. All the specs are in the image below. I’ve only had it a day, but the workhorse miyota movement seems fine. I’m going to keep it on a nato and the rubber strap it came with. To me the bracelet makes it too heavy. May order an Erika’s Orginal or Isofrane strap eventually. But I plan to take this thing diving.  It feels like this thing can get bashed around with no problem. I definitely recommend Scurfa if you’re looking for a reasonably priced tough-as-nails diver.

That's a good episode.

Scurfa is my default response to "I want an inexpensive dive watch, what should I get".  I've loved the few that have passed through my flipping.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel when I saw it in the metal. But I’m very impressed. I do think this is a keeper. I love the colors and definitely will take it diving on my next trip in January.

Great Watch Kinda Micro but definitely a passion product that's built by a pro.
