In the last 2 years my wife and lived our dream and hiked almost 8000km (don’t ask). I debated what watch to take on these trips. I even considered a real (automatic) sportswatch. But I guess I’m afraid something will happen to that watch - so I always go back to this G-Shock. Never failed me once, runs on time always and because of the Tough Solar I never have to worry about the battery ..
So, what’s your watch?

I have a few watches but I have to agree with you here, I use my G Shock/casios for workouts/walks etc after having an Apple Watch on my wrist for too long! Sometimes I choose a chronograph but it’s mostly the square G!
For one sport - cycling - I use my Apple Watch ("If it's not on Strava, it didn't happen")... and, before my daughter took it with her to California, it was also my square G-Shock. Currently I use a cheap Casio W-87H for lower-impact sports and a G-Shock MTG-M900 on a resin band for rougher stuff.
80km - this one
8000km - then this one
