A perfectly good idea gets washed out

I Had the perfect plan. I would get an amazing photo of my favorite watch during a solar eclipse! How epic would that be?

True. The eclipse would only be partial for me but still with my pin camera ready and my watch all polished and lume loaded it could not fail to awe.

Only two problems. 1) rain from 5 am through 2 pm. 2) 100 % cloud cover for 24 hours. I'll just have to wait till next year when we get total eclipse in my area.

We we fortunate in Colorado. 80% eclipse at maximum. This was taken about 20 min past max.

I just by chance saw it at about 70%. We had cloud coverage almost all day. Then just like God said, "ok, you can see it". The clouds thinned just enough to see it.

Was raining all day today in NY as well. Very cloudy for the most part. No fun at all.
