One thing I like about Casio G-Shocks is that they can last for a very long time if you give them moderate care and use. The problem, at least with the older models, is that after a long time the outer rubber casing starts degrading and disintegrates and the original strap starts to crack. Case in point my military-issued Casio DW-6600 given to me back in 2009. It happened a short time ago when I found it with the outer case cracking and crumbling. Well, it was the best time and opportunity not only to resurrect it but give in a well-deserved makeover. Not only that I was able to obtain an original outer case replacement, but I also got a NATO strap kit, crystal protector and bull-bars. It has been my companion in the military since it was given to me then and my lucky watch when I’m flying. It feels so good to bring this beauty back to life looking way much cooler with just a few mods.
