I've only seen this mentioned in one place on the web but an instagrammer that specializes in JDM watches posted that Seiko is releasing a new Alpinist watch later this year. It's supposedly a mechanical GMT Alpinist.

I'm hard core wanting this watch if it happens. I'm just hoping it's not a JDM simply because it'll end up costing a bit more for me to buy in the USA.

Anyone got thoughts on this? Any information if it's really happening?
