[SOTC] Land/Air/Sea 3 Watch Collection

Hi everyone,

This is my current watch collection. I've been collecting for a few years and I've settled on these 3. I think I might just stick to these for a while and get off the "watch-treadmill". I feel like I've become more focused on the purchasing of the watch, rather than the actual wearing. For variety I'll switch up straps.

How do you guys feel about your watch obsession? Are you more excited by the hunt and purchase of the watch or actually getting and wearing it? Interested in all your thoughts.

For reference the watches are:

  1.  Vintage Seiko Skyliner
  2.  Longines spirit 37mm
  3.  Seiko SPB313J

Definitely something in the chase for me. Can’t stop looking at the next one.

Dont get me wrong really wish I had the restraint to stop. Pieces I have are more than adequate for an individual (and I’m not talking high end pieces either)

Yeah I get what you mean, it's not easy to stop!

The anticipation...and when you crack that box open to see your new timepiece in all it's glory...I got equal joy from my new $100 square a week ago...lol

It's a drug!

Sweet 3!

Love your choices.

Cheers!

I have locked in a 3-watch-collection myself. But I'm considering going all the way down to 1 🥴 I have this strange feeling that I would be happier that way.

·

That is 3 watch collection right up my alley. Very well balanced. Good job👍

I love the conceptual organization of your collection.  It immediately gets me thinking about which 3 watches I would put in those categories. For me what's most interesting about collecting is neither the wearing nor the buying, but the reading. I think I'm actually more drawn to researching watches than any other aspect of horology.

What size wrist are you? Does the spirit 37 fit good? I’m paranoid it will be too small for my 7” wrist. Thanks!

I'm considering it too!

I actually have a 7 inch wrist too and feel the spirit 37mm wears great. It has a relatively long lug to lug so it doesn't wear that small :)

I'm considering it too!

Keeping the Spirit in that scenario?

Love the hunt.
Love pulling the trigger.
Love examining every little detail in every possible light for weeks.
Rinse,repeat.

I pulled the trigger on the 37mm Spirit this morning! Thanks again!

I am also in the midst of getting my 3rd watches. I have the Longines Spirit 40mm to start with, I just got the Longines Conquest Heritage 35mm last week, gotta say, just love the size, weigh and the dial so much as my only dress watch. Now I am really looking forward to getting the Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale as daily-driven watch, then I should be set for quite some time and see how it goes.

I got my spirit 37 and love it. Is there a sticker on the crystal?
