My next Willard is in the works!

I just got the dial, which was the last thing I needed to get this build underway. What do you think about a rose gold case and a gold dial? I'm bout...

Great beach day.

First day warm enough to hit up the beach!

Hot off the bench!

I just wrapped up a watch built completely from extra parts I had left over from other builds.

Nice watch! I have that strap but mine doesn't have the quick release pins. I flipped over the strap because I love that waffle pattern.

Homage is the way to go. I know I'll never be wealthy enough to enjoy a $500,000 collection of watches but I (now) know that I can either build a really nice +/- $200 watch with a time-tested reliable movement or I can just buy a $100-$300 built watch that is as nice as I personally need it to be. Obviously, I would rather have 50 MB&F, Greuble Forsey, and F.P. Journe watches but I still enjoy my 20 watch collection just as well - and I'm not afraid to wear them. I build a watch every month or so and it's a fun hobby. I get a lot of satisfaction from doing so. Just making a call, blowing Alabama's annual budget, and waiting around for a year seems boring to me.
