The 8L35 wouldn't fit into the case of SJE 62mas. The 6L is basically an 8L with a lower power reserve. 6L is not 6R.

I am not really into Presage or Grand Seiko. I think the newer King Seiko Interchangeable is the best looking King Seiko yet. I actually prefer these to any Grand Seiko I can think of, even if I have the money for GS.

It all depends on whether you want a tool watch that looks good on your wrist or a piece of jewellery that looks good in photos. The 68mas case will always wear well. However, I am not a big fan of that unbeveled date window. Due to iso rules, most of Seiko's current lineup has an unbeveled date window. I really hate that!

I have/had 7 Seiko in total. My SARB035 have a misaligned charter ring, and the date wheel is a hair-off on my MM200. I never have any problem with the movements on any Seikos. I think many inaccuracy problems are due to users not winding the watch up before putting it on if it hasn't been used for over 24 hours.

Seiko isn't the only watchmaker that has production issues. I got a Yema Superman a few years ago with more problems than all the watches I got over the year put together.

I like the 62mas, but it is a little overrated. People are always going crazy about it because they think it is Seiko's first, it's history etc. But it was just a copy of some other Swiss watches at the time. 68mas (MM300, MM200, SLA 057, SKX and much more!) is much better. It defines modern Seiko dive watches. 62mas looks good in photos, but the lugs stick out, like most Swiss designs. 68mas hugs your wrist and looks so much better on it.

Also that San Martina is very ugly! Sorry!

Just my useless thought!
