When the pandemic hit I suddenly was doing everything virtually. Work, family, kids school, EVERYTHING. I’d worn a Garmin Fenix 3 for years, but suddenly wearing a computer felt like too much but I wanted something on my wrist. Did some online exploring….and here we are.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A yellow faced Swiss Army field watch. No idea of the model number. I was 10, maybe.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Was given a Whittnauer Odessey 200 titanium diver when I was 16. Still have it. It’s my “occasion” watch for weddings, graduations etc. My father got a matching chronograph model and my grandfather got a “datejust” version. I have my grandfather’s now too, but I never wear it.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Start small, explore, and don’t listen to anyone else when it comes to looks or brand.
