T-Rex wrist problems

Morning everyone on this beautiful sunny day. Judging by @watchbrothers recent Post I'm going to assume we've all got our Summer uniform on (either G-shock or Diver on a NATO) and it got me thinking. Due to my T-Rex wrists I've only come across one NATO strap that fits me ok. If yours doesn't heres a tip. Get your strap and mark where you want the hole to be. Then, get either a nail for a picture hook or corkscrew (either will work fine but if your going to use the nail hold it with some pliers. That or have a bottle of brandy to hand or Mother out of the room. Trust me) heat it up with a lighter and push it through the strap. The heat melts the nylon so the nail will go through, leaving a hole with no fraying. There's PopitonaNATO's top tip for the day, if you have any watch related tricks in general leave then in the comments below. Ok, ciao!

What's the trick to make sure it doesn't cool and get stuck in place, or have a sting of molten goo making a mess of everything? I fear the answer is to practice a bunch on an old strap.

What I always do is make sure its always moving. If you keep twisting the pin and then as soon as the hole is made to your liking pull it out (that's what she said hehe). As for the goo I can't help you ive never come across that
