How Rolexes put Peru's presidency at risk

TLDR: Peru’s current head of state is in hot water over her Rolex collection. Dina Boluarte is under investigation for illicit enrichment for possessing luxury timepieces watches without proving how she got them.

Great to see such an iconic brand in the press!

I'm shocked! A politician under investigation for corruption and dishonesty? What has our world become??!

Soy sauce is just sauce introducing itself in Spanish.

Maybe Fakes ? :D

The most laughable part to me is that these are mostly pedestrian Rolex models, not rare or precious metal even. The most expensive one seems to be a 36mm datejust with rose gold fluted bezel under $20k. I get it that with Peruvian presidential salary of $4k a month these watches look absolutely odious, but by the East European or East Asians standards of “corruption watches” these are resin Casios

I also would be in hot water if my wife finds out I have bought a Rolex! She would investigate if I have "undisclosed" income!

They are all seiko mods

Is that $4200 per month or year.
