Sam's Watch Review (MiBro Lite 2)

How I Got It

After I gifted my Apple Watch to my sister, I somehow felt that I need another smartwatch cause I have gotten used to getting all these notifications pushed from my phone to my watch. I couldn't afford another Apple Watch at the time and so I just bought a super cheap android smartwatch that at least looks good. Me and my girlfriend both bought one for ourselves to match again. I then had a problem with the watch as my work job required me to go into the swimming pool a lot, and one day the watch gotten water damage even when it is rated as 2ATM water resistant. I know that we shouldn't even trust a Casio with 30m water resistant to be able to survive while used swimming however you need to understand that they advertised swimming as one of the sports for is to track using the smartwatch 😂. Therefore I called up the store, tell them about the water damage which happened 1 week after I bought it. They asked me to send it back to them and they will replace it with a new one. Now I got the new smartwatch with of course the same model, but I don't use it in the water anymore. I used it daily for sometime and I lost interest to it due to it lacks the smooth and reliable operating system like the Apple Watches had. So now it is just in my watch box until I can somehow sell it away.

Build Materials & Appearance

The watch looks big and thick but it fits my 6 inch wrist so nicely. Aluminium case with a great feeling crown and an 'action button'. It has a speaker as well but I don't know how to play music on the watch, I can't answer phone calls with the watch, I basically don't know what's the purpose of the speaker 😂. The watch came with 2 straps and both are great quality straps that I love. The one on the watch is a brown leather strap which looks so good for everyday wear. Another strap is just a rubber strap for sports use but a good quality rubber strap. Being a smartwatch, we can of course change the face to our liking however there are limited options to choose from and we can only wait for developers to create new ones hoping that those new ones will look good or else you're stuck with what you have if you don't like any of them.

Pros & Cons Starting with Cons then Pros

As I mentioned I just can't trust the water resistant rating anymore even though the watch is advertised to have swimming as one of the sports to track in sports mode. The operating system is just fine I guess for its price but I have gotten used to Apple Watch. I can't use the speaker even when it has a speaker and microphone which is weird. It is what it is.

Countering all that, the smartwatch kinda looks good even though it is cheap. I love both straps it comes with. They look very nice and even wear so comfortable the bluetooth connection is quite good also. I don't really use it to track my whole activity while using it so i can't really tell if it's working as it should be. I mainly only need the push notifications as when I'm working I don't have my phone near me.

Summary

To conclude, this watch is basically okay. But that's about it. I've come to realise that we don't really need this watch unless you wanna look cool and be a part of those smartwatch wearers out there. I have no use of almost all the features except for time telling. Therefore I don't recommend buying the watch at all. If you really need a smartwatch then I suggest just save up even more until you can afford the ones at the top of the 'food chain' which are Apple Watches if you're using iPhone, and Samsung Galaxy Watch if you're using android phones. No reason to waste your money on this one. Not even for kids as I don't think they need it at all.
