Random public watch conversation

My parents were visiting this week and as I live in Vegas it was one of the rare times I go to the strip. They wanted to go to the Bellagio and see the atrium with it all decked out for Christmas(it was awesome and if you have any affity for Christmas and are in the area it is awesome). So I got to window shop at the high end stuff briefly(cartier, omega, and an ad that had rolex as well as other brands). One day I will have to spend some week day afternoon bothering them.

So today we decided to check out some more casino Christmas decorations for a bit. We end up at the New York New York and I see the Swatch store there. I of course go in because I haven't seen the Swatch colabs in person and I have a problem. One of the guys working there saw my citizen and complimented it and started asking questions about it. It was the first time I have had someone do that in public/real life. It was short and realize it was also kind of a sales tactic but I sensed some genuine interest as well. And I have worn my citizens into the citizen outlet store here and not had this interaction there.

It was kinda nice to have a conversation about watches I haven't had to initiate in some way. How often does this happen for everyone else?

The few times I was complimented out of the blue on my watch caught me totally unprepared to respond. I’m not expecting someone to know or even care about what’s on my wrist.

Hasnt happen yet as a full convo mostly just someone will say “nice watch” and that’s it. It’s place and time but I think the next time someone says “nice watch” I’ll say “thanks! Do you collect your self? Check out WatchCrunch just stay away from that Mr.Santana guy”

Last time I told a guy he has a Nice watch he told me to move on. I think it was a Hamilton all gold color does that exist? Anyway we where crossing chile/Argentinian border. I later saw him sweat in the bathroom without the watch.I think it was the least of his worries.

Only a few times, mostly other military people. Even watch shopping usually goes like this:
