Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
unfortunately a relative gifted me an old watch…… then I saw another that I liked… and another…. and so it goes on 🤷🏼♂️😳🥳
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I can’t remember the name of the watch, but it was many years ago and similar to one I now own made by Newmark. classic rectangular style, with ruby and diamond (coloured) markers on the dial…. it could’ve been a Bulova!? but I was young and just can’t recall
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
probably the best story is behind the Rolex DJII that I purchased after the death of my parents. now they are with me wherever I wear it. ❤️❤️❤️
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
set your aims and budget and try to stick to them. this is an expensive hobby, but also a very enjoyable one. if you enjoy it “too much” you might end up broke!! 🤷🏼♂️😉🤣😂
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, moonswatch, seagull, Elliot Brown, CWC, Boldr, Omega, Rolex…… basically anything that ticks…..
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
my grail watch is the Rolex Submariner “bluesy” (some call it a “Smurf”). I have wanted a sub for a long, long time - but not your regular black dialled piece. this one ticks all of the boxes.
