Very good question, I feel like they will never have the same level of desirability as the original vintage models. Overall I dislike when brands come out with older models and purposely "age" the watch with custard lume or a faded dial; It just seems a little too forced. I mostly like my watches new or vintage. Not faux vintage.

I wish brands would release models in their original vintage proportions but with a modern movement inside. I want to feel what it would be like to buy some of our favorite vintage models as if they were brand new. No signs of aging.

I’d say I’m happy with my watch obsession. It eats up a lot of time and money but It is such a unique and interesting hobby that blends history, craftsmanship, design, engineering etc. Plus I like to see items that are still made to last a long time and be repaired.

Try it on and see how it feels on your wrist if you can before purchasing. A lot of watches with similar dimensions can feel very different in person on the wrist. Also, wear whatever you want and enjoy the hobby.

I kind of bought my “grail” 6 months ago, an AP 15450ST. Well it’s at least my stainless steel watch grail lol. I can’t stop wearing it and I don’t see myself ever wanting another watch quite as badly. Still trying to find a gold dress piece grail tho. I love smaller dress watches.
