Something like a CWC Navy diver wanted

I'm looking for a bargain basement looky-likey quartz CWC Navy diver, Obviously I would love to afford the real deal but can't,

I have been looking at these new versions from Qimei on Aliexpress, These seem to have what I want, a sapphire lens and screw-crown is a must, I have owned the Cooper and a few MWC's but I have not been very impressed, I had a Kronos years ago and it looked the part and was a really tough watch, when I moved it on the mineral lens was so very scratched so it has to be sapphire,

Any other suggestions please?, preference up to £150

This would be perfect but it's mineral Doh!

Yes that would be perfect, I remember seeing that when it was posted on here a while back when it was just released, I even got to the order page but it was just way too expensive with the horrendous post cost on top to ship to the UK

It's kind of weird really, you would have thought with all the micro brands out there this design would be a popular and a fairly simple homage to re-create, I am tempted by the new QIMEI and might go for it, the only thing stopping me is looking at some of the pictures on Aliexpress I'm sure it looks like they could have alignment issues with the bezel not matching the dial markers?

As far as I know, QiMei make the Cooper watches; so if you weren’t impressed with the Cooper I doubt you’ll find the QiMei a revelation.

...Yes this is what I'm worried about, but they have just brought out these higher spec models, maybe they have got better?

I did look at the Cooper/QiMei watches a while ago, but decided I’d rather spend the extra on the CWC reissue instead.

Nice, and well done you, I wont be rude and ask how much you paid, but seeing the prices on CWC website they certainly know how to keep out the riff raff!, £700 to £900 is way off for me, especially for a quartz watch,

I just know with the manufactures available today, a beautiful watch that has all the specs I want can still be made affordable.

Oh, I haven’t bought it yet.

I agree, it’s a challenging chunk of change for a quartz diver. It’s one I’d have to save for.
