New Sinn U50 Today!!!
This is a watch I’ve been wanting for a while and have been back and forth on tegimented vs non-tegimented and black bezel vs stainless bezel. I finally made up my mind a few days ago and ordered the non-tegimented, stainless bezel on the bracelet. I also ordered the red rubber strap as that was the desired look I was going for. Unfortunately, Watchbuys doesn’t stock the watch with the red band even though that is the combo Sinn features in their literature.
The watch and bracelet arrived today via UPS and Watchbuys standard two day shipping. After unboxing and fitting the bracelet and strap I have to say I am thrilled! I knew going into this the bracelet clasp was the weak point of the watch and that is true. It simply doesn’t stand up to the quality of the rest of the watch. I will replace it when the new improved clasp becomes available. That being said, the strap clasp is outstanding with 3 positions of easy tool-less adjustment.
The watch itself is absolutely stunning. The AR is flawless and the crystal simply disappears. The dial design screams legibility and German utilitarianism. The fit on my 7” wrist is great with the short lug to lug dimensions and it’s very thin for a dive watch. The bracelet has a nice flex and doesn’t pull or pinch. The rubber strap is outstanding with a pre-curve and nice soft feel. The watch even has drilled lugs and comes with a nice spring bar tool!

Congrats! Got mine a bit earlier this year and love it! Agree with the clasp being a bit weak on bracelet. I didn't know if a new clasp so will have to keep an eye on that. Do you think they'd just sell that? Didn't get tegimented either but would be cool to get the clasp tegimented as desk divers wear there most anyways.

My understanding is the clasps will be available separately and some of them are showing up on the website now. They show as “temporarily unavailable” but the gentleman I talked to at Watchbuys on Monday said they would be available soon.

Fantastic choice! I love the #sinn U50 because of it’s simple yet modern & ultilitarian design. I still can’t believe that #sinn made a 500M dive watch that thin. 👊🏼
