Which strap should I choose for Summer Adventure 2023? Updated!

Update: I replaced the two lowest performers. Feel free to change your vote. I’ve been wearing the 300 exclusively on the mesh for the last few months. Looking to add a bit of color and soften the look for summer. We’re going to be beaching it up all along the eastern coast of the USA this year from SC to ME. Only bringing one watch, the 300, and I need it to work from business formal to flip flop casual. I will have the mesh bracelet with me as well. Which strap do you think looks the part? If you have a different suggestion post a link. Happy Friday!

Tip for those who are seeing the images cropped on their desktop browser: right click > "Open image in new tab"

I think the gray clashes with the warmth of the fauxtina, and the orange fights too much for attention for my tastes. But that simple textured blue is killer!

Edit: if Omega still does that same solid color, textured strap in tan, I bet it would be sweet too

I thought about tan but am worried about getting it dirty. I wear mostly earth tones these days if that helps anyone’s decision.

Oof. By looks alone, that tan is my favorite. But I do get the concern of it showing dirt, etc

There’s this “biosteel” version as well.

I updated the candidates. Replaced the two poorest performers with suggestions from the comments.

It’s a strap… just throw it in with a load of laundry! 😆

I don’t think you and I have the same definition of dirty. When I get things “dirty” they are never get “clean” again lol.

Well, if you go that hard and play that dirty, I’d say the blue would be the way to go! I live in FL. It’s hot, humid and salty. I gotta toss these fabric straps in with a load every once in a while.

I wear mine often on mesh too, really suits the design imho. I recommend considering Sailcloth, it's hard wearing, looks smart, waterproof and comfortable.

My recommendation for NATO's is don't bother with Omega ones, they're not great, try CWC mil-spec elastic NATO's - really comfortable and zero points of failure (unlike the naff Omega ones, & most others with springbar retained buckles)

My experience with sail cloth is limited to Burton and I wasn’t impressed. I need to check out other brands. Any you would recommend?

I’m not really an elastic fan either. I prefer a little bit of slip in the fit of my watch.

Im curious to see if I can get the deployant clasp from my mesh to fit on a Nato. In my 40 odd years of wearing a watch I have yet to have a springbar fail so it’s not really a concern of mine.

Barton was the brand I was going to recommend.

Deployant on a NATO? Check out ID Guy on YouTube, that's how he wears his.

You're lucky not having a springbar fail, maybe because I tend to wear mine tight I've had a few 😢

Anyhoo, good luck 👍🏻

It was IDGuy who gave me the idea.

Went with the Beige. Looks great! Couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the advice!
