Hello Sailor!

Welcoming the newest and certainly the wackiest member of my Seiko family. Presenting the Seiko 8M35 -8009 Yacht Timer! Released in the early 90s (my example is Circa 1989) as a more affordable successor to the legendary Seiko 7A28 Yacht Timer. I love how despite being completely analog it "feels digital" with it's preset 5/10/15 and 30 or less minute countdown timer and the fact that the hands rotate counterclockwise while counting down. I also really like the Galactic empire caseback😂. Rocking it on a blue "Faux" Sailcloth pvc strap and I love it. Happy hunting everyone!

Love this one, one of my favourites out of the "dancing hands" due to the dial colour scheme and that bezel! Here's my recent pick up in the same genre (8M26-600A from 1988)

It's gorgeous 😍! Is it also an 8M35? I love that dial.

Thank you, the dial is a bit wordy but that's how I like em! The movement is an 8M26, functions are similar to yours but instead of the preset timers there's a stopwatch and alarm. I'm no expert, but from what I've found the "dancing hands" come with a variety of movements, with only minor differences between most of them (e.g. the 6M25 has a calendar function and additional second hand, while the 6M26 also moves the function display to the edge of the dial), it's a pity that there's nothing like these on the market today as they look so unique.
