Welcoming a younger brother!

Introducing the latest member of my Seiko family. The Seiko LM Lord Matic 5606-6070 Circa:1974 in this gorgeous "Ube" dial. Really excited about this one as I love the LM line in general and always wanted a 2nd generation piece after I learned about the line's history. I have it here in the following photos next to its "older brother" the 1st generation Seiko LM Lord Matic 5606-7070 Circa:1969. For anyone curious about the generations, Seiko first released the Lord Matic line with the incredible calibre:5606 in the late 60s as a model line marketed right below KS King Seiko. The first generation was composed of simple and elegant designs with black, white and silver dials but often with unique bracelets. Later on into the 70s Seiko released the second generation models of the Lord Matic line with a completely different look. Lord Matics were released in every shape and colour with unique case shapes, dials, and faceted crystals. That's why my Lord Matics look so drastically different despite being siblings. Sorry for the long post and thanks if you made it this far. I hope you're having a great time. Till next time and happy hunting!
