I'm on the hunt for a modern watch that captures the essence of the vintage Chronographe Suisse style, particularly those sub-40mm pieces. Does anyone have recommendations for contemporary watches that pay homage to this classic look? Pic for attention, but would love to find something very close to it.

I'd check out Tissot and Dan Henry. I can't remember the references offhand, but they have this style of Chrono.
Strela do some 38mm. They have a legitimate history and are now made in Germany I believe.

You might want to check out the Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope. It's a modern iteration of a 1940's Omega wristwatch with a full range of timing options. Its dial displays a tachymeter, pulsometer, and telemeter scale in a retro "snail" design. Classic chronograph suisse aesthetic, modern feel. 👌 Found it here: https://www.swisswatchexpo.com/watches/omega-chronoscope-steel-blue-dial-mens-watch-32930435103001-unworn-42984/
