Junghans Max Bill on milanese fine link

With my brother's wedding coming up, I wanted to get a small dress watch for the (rare) occasion I dress up. I finally bought one of the first watches that pulled me into this crazy world, the 34mm Max Bill handwinding. Even though I have a small 6.25" wrist and had planned for a small watch, it still surprised me with how diminutive it was when it arrived!

I hated the dull tan strap it came on--it made the watch look cheap and somehow even smaller. Knowing it would be hot at the wedding and wanting to match my wife's fashion watch, I picked up a strapcode fine link mesh band. I've seen so many pictures of this watch on all kinds of leather straps, but only rarely on bracelet. I'll probably still pick up some straps for less formal wear, but I'm loving the way the cold, sterile steel matches the stark German aesthetic. My only reservation is whether I should have gone with baton-only, but it wears so small in real life that I think it's a negligible difference. Thoughts??

That wears small? It's all dial.  I would think that it would look plenty large.

That size watch looks fine on your wrist.  Junghans actually sells mesh bands for that watch you can call to order or order online.  You can also find some appropriate metal bands at forstner.com.  I own a chronoscope myself and I love it (black dial chronograph).

This is the direction I’ve taken with mine.

My friend just got married this weekend. He came over to ask if he could borrow a watch ( he's not a watch guy), and the first one I thought of and gave him was my Junghans Max Bill. He loved it, and he rocked it. Great watch man!

Wow! I was dead set on their 38mm and now that has got my wondering. I have a 6.7” wrist and can wear either comfortably. Decisions, decisions….🤔
