It's the third replacement watch that CW has sent me in (in about 6 weeks), and yes, third time's the charm! Finally! I love it, but I will think twice about ordering from UK/England/Europe.
When QC is all over the map some people will swear by them while others swear at them. Seiko has their issues too with misalignment over their bezel placement and accuracy.
I had a QC issue with my CW, but they made it right in a timely and professional manner. Any watch can have problems, but if the customer service is good, and the problem gets fixed, I won’t hold it against them.
That’s it? You’re not going to tell us what happened that made this the 3rd replacement they sent you?
First watch: had a loose metallic fleck on the dial. Sent it back immediately for an exchange. They ran out of my original color, and mini-chaos ensued. DM'd Mike France & Tanya Bull directly. Second watch: bracelet was not flush against the case on either the 12 o'clock or the 6 o'clock position. I was in total disbelief. Tanya Bull sent out the third replacement immediately, and I also returned the second watch within days of receipt.
What kind of issues did you have with Zelos? It’s my understanding that Elshan makes it his personal business to ensure the quality of each one.
not recent, but pre-COVID (mako 3 days) they had a a handful of QC issues with each release. as you can imagine, Elshan's customer service is great with sending replacements out, but it was a common theme for each release for a while

I personally had over half a dozen QC issues. I had misalignments, bezels with missing lume, dents/scratches, dials with random paint splatters and bezels that faded way to quickly. Elshan does customer service himself, but QC is done by the manufacturer..
The fact that elshan bans anyone talking about the QC issues in their facebookgroup is a problem aswell in my opinion. These things need to be discussed and addressed, not supressed.
No they use the whole "swiss-made" shtick. Cases, bracelets and clasps are made in the same chinese factory Zelos gets theirs made. Only 60% has to be made/done in switzerland to be able to put "swiss made" on the dial. With most "swiss" microbrands all their parts are chinese except for the dial, movement and assembly.

I’m not sure that makes me feel good or bad about CW watches.
Are we allowed to cross-post things from Reddit?? I typed in my whole saga there. It's a long & tedious story!
3rd replacement watch, reminds me of Zelos... oh yeah, i forgot, they use the same factory... 😂 let me guess, QC issues?

do they really use the same factory? from mike france's interviews, it seems they have a handful of different suppliers for each piece

Yes they use the same factory for the cases, bracelets and clasps as Zelos. Many micro's use the exact same factories..

Per OP's issues, those are issues that should be found on assembly and QA, not manufacturing. Aren't CW made in Switzerland now?
