Thank you for sharing! I love the perspective date. I've never seen that before.

Hi Gogdust: I believe there's horror stories of CW QC on FB (I'm not on Facebook), and there are several threads on reddit about QC issues, and I think there's a whole bunch of complaints on the CW forum (on the CW site). Their watches are top-notch, I do love my Sealander, and when I listen to Mike France, I fall in love with the whole CW story, but they are experiencing (quite) a bit of QC issues. It's called the "Bel Canto Effect." I know The Twelve looks amazing (I saw it in the metal at SF Windup) and I might even think about buying the 36mm version. Maybe.

I love it, too! It's funny, Viridian was my original preference, but I chose "Oxygen" (blue) because it seemed more versatile. And Viridian did not seem to be as popular (as it was still always available online), so that gave me pause. (BTW, the Red Racer color from Fall 2022 is still available). It was so hard deciding which color to get. Even when I saw them at Windup SF in April, they of course did not have Oxygen nor Viridian colors on display (but also by the time I visited Windup, my first watch was back at their shop).

I read a few negative stuff on reddit, but I consciously ignored what I read and decided to purchase from them.

I hear you, and thank you for the kind words! I took a real leap of faith getting this one, my second online watch purchase (first was a G-shock). It is a real gamble & nerve-wracking. I paid USD$90+ for sales tax and USD$94.03 in duties. You get the sales tax back if you decide to return the watch, but you don't get duties back, which I understood from the beginning. However, CW inadvertently refunded my first watch (without giving me an opportunity to repair it), so I was back at square one (without a new watch), but $94.03 poorer, to boot! They said "Oh, you can now buy the Viridian," but prices had increased during this brief time (April 3rd, 2023), and I'd have to pay duties again??. Anyhow, Mike France & Tanya Bull made everything right in the end, but It's been such a saga.
