What do y'all think of this watch?

Hey crunchers, Im courious about your opinion on this Seiko Spirit SCVS011 "pre sarb" model. The reason im asking is that I cant find much info on it online other than the basic specs, which are pretty good:

100m wr, 6r movement, sapphire, quality bracelet.

It was supposedly serviced not long ago and it is in good condition.

Its small, which is what Im looking for, I need a small/medium simple but well made daily watch to replace my Zelos Blacktip GMT.

I love that watch but I didnt bond with it and it cost too much to be a compromise.

My question is really: Is the trade worth financially in your opinion? I know that is not the most important thing and we should enjoy our watches rather then think of resale value, but we all change our minds sometimes, and not loosing a bunch of money is important, especially when youre on a tight budget.

The trade would also include some cash in my favour, I just wonder how recognized/"sought after" (what a pretentious term) this Seiko is.

Thanks for any kind of insight, have a good sunday everyone!😀

Edit: forgot to mention that if I convert the trade to numbers, the Seiko would cost me a little over 400 usd. Do you think its worth it?

I think to get a credible answer to your question, you just have to check around sites like eBay, chrino24, and grey market sites to see what prices look like.

Separate from the question, that’s a lovely-looking Seiko.

It is very gorgeous indeed, im convincing myself more and more. Couldnt find them for sale, only one example that was sold some time ago for around the same price I would get it, but thats not much reference.

Ghanks for the input, I appreciate it!

The Seikos is pretty indeed. If you’re worried about the resale value idk what we can tell you. That’s a question for eBay. If youre not meshing with the Zelos and don’t need the GMT then try the Seiko and see how you feel. $400 cash will also probably be close enough to get you something to scratch the itch for having a louder or more colorful watch like the Zelos.

I think the advice already provided is great. Check what these pieces go for used and come to a conclusion then. I definitely agree there is no sense in keeping something you ultimately don’t like.
